There is great deal of apprehensions as well as excitement about drones replacing soldiers in most areas of warfare. The apprehension about drones beating soldiers in their own game stems ought of the fear that what one would see in the future is an endless war of greater magnitude unlike anything so far seen on the planet and the nature of destruction that these may cause. If such wars are carried out relentlessly, as there would no sacrifice of soldiers in flesh and blood and only machines fighting other machines, then the world would be forever doomed due to the backlash of the machine community on the citizens just like the Frankenstein monster did to its inventor. On the other side are the enthusiasts who support such wars as there will be lesser emotions attached to machines.
How Deadly Machines Can Be?
You may have seen several science fiction movies and some of these do resemble the future of what wars would like. Here, most machines would be under the control of a central unit and they would be following the command and carry out operations and ambushes on the enemy lines. The idea of most countries is to keep an edge on the enemy country as a first user of these machines so as to inflict maximum damage to their counterpart’s flesh and blood soldiers while removing the risk of such damage on their own.
However, the problem would start when the enemy too puts in lots of research and make improvements in technologies to counter act such a design. In the long run these kinds of battles would escalate much against the very population they all had hoped to protect.
Yet for carrying out attacks on humanity’s scourge like the terrorists, ruthless dictators and other militants these would prove to be the best option for stealth attacks both on the ground and the air. Already a lot of development has already taken place in developed nations in producing such unique machines for both kinds of attack.
If the concept is to make the world a better place for its human population and by obliterating the evils within the system then drones would be a better method to wage war. Again, there will be no emotions or health related issues attached to machines as is the case with humans and thereby bring down costs over a period of time. Yet machine costs are prohibitive.
